SOUTH RIM DAY TOURS

From Fort Tuthill we head north through the Painted Desert to the historic Cameron Trading Post where we will stop for gifts and souvenirs. After that we enter the park and go to the Watchtower at Desert View which gives an amazing panoramic view of the canyon and some of its most notorious rapids.  The next stop is the Tusayan Ruins where we have lunch and explore pueblo ruins that were inhabited by Native American over 800 years ago.  From there we continue towards Grand Canyon Village and offer an optional 1.5 mile walk on the rim trail taking us to the majestic El Tovar Hotel where visitors can browse the gift shops and see the sights of the Grand Canyon’s main corridor. Then we head back to Flagstaff through the Coconino National Forest offering stunning views of the San Francisco Peaks.

Trip Details : Cost: $50.00 Includes experienced trip leaders, transportation, park entrance fees and lunch. This trip is open to all ages.
